Last week, our RDI Project Coordinator, Stela Karovic, represented AquaBioTech Group at the kick-off meeting of our new CBE JU-funded project, RootLinks, in Berlin, Germany.
RootLinks is more than just a project – it’s a catalyst for change. By enhancing the role of primary producers in circular bio-based value chains, we’re addressing critical challenges like limited access to information and regulatory barriers. AquaBioTech Group is leading key tasks to analyze European project results, implement sector-specific actions, and foster collaboration across sectors.
Our work package focuses on empowering the blue sector through key initiatives: a Working Group, co-created action points, an AI-enhanced online repository, collaboration workshops, and many more actions!
The impact is profound: we’re not only increasing primary producers’ participation in innovation but also ensuring they benefit from sustainable business models. This project will open new business opportunities, drive cross-sector cooperation, and contribute to a more sustainable future for Europe.
As a result of our efforts, we anticipate significant outcomes, including:
- Improved awareness and understanding of circular bioeconomy
- New knowledge on business models and skills to integrate them into current businesses
- Improved skills on developing RDI partnerships
- Innovative bio-based solutions showcased and new opportunities to diversify income identified
- New partnerships forged between primary producers and across value chains
Let’s work together to drive innovation and sustainability in Europe! 🌟
