DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce that we will be participating in Aquaculture Careers event taking place in Stirling\, UK\nThis event is organised by the Aquaculture Students’ Association (ASA) at the University of Stirling on the 10th – 11th May 2022. During these 2 days event\, different leaders in aquaculture and marine science will be present and exhibit their experiences for students to gain insight into the industry\, alongside panel discussions \, networking sessions\, and workshops. \nRepresenting AquaBioTech Group\, Dr. Steven G. Prescott our Senior Aquaculture Consultant and Aquaculture Life Cycle Assessment Specialist. \nDr. Prescott is an aquaculture scientist specialising in the interactions between aquaculture and the natural environmental\, and how these interactions relate to issues of economic and societal development. DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce that we will be participating in the WestMED Initiative event in Floriana\, Malta\nThe Maltese National Hub for the WestMED Initiative and the Malta Maritime Forum are organising an event on Thursday 12th May 2022. \nBlue Skills in Malta: Bridging the Skills Gap through Education and Ocean Literacy.\nSkill shortage in the Maltese islands is a challenge faced by numerous maritime industry operators\, reflecting amongst others\, the lack of investment in maritime education and training\, and the lack of awareness by the general public on the job opportunities offered by the maritime industry. \nGiven the strategic and economic importance of the maritime industry to Malta\, the availability of blue skills in the labour market is a key element to securing the growth of the economic contribution of the sector in the years to come. \nIndeed\, the maritime sector offers a wide range of employment opportunities spread over various activities\, requiring diverse skills\, knowledge and expertise. Digitalisation\, automation and technological advancements also require a new set of skills and qualifications\, which offer a variety of opportunities for jobs in research\, innovation and development aspects of the field. \nThe seminar organised by the Maltese National Hub for the WestMED Initiative aims to create an opportunity for key stakeholders in the Maltese blue economy to come together to identify the skills gap between the education offer and labour market needs and explore the strengths and available opportunities to bridge this gap. Education providers together with industry operators and public entities are therefore invited to attend this event to share their views towards finding solutions to this challenge. DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce that we will be exhibiting at the ”AgriFair 2022” in Malta.\nThe Event will take place from the Friday 20th to the Sunday 22nd of May\, from  at the Malta Fairs & Conventions Centre\, Ta Qali. \nThe Malta AgriFair 2022 is a national event organised by the Ministry for Agriculture\, Food\, Fisheries and Animal Rights. Aiming towards promoting local produce\, machinery\, systems and technological developments in the agricultural and fisheries sectors\, with the main aim of bringing together major stakeholders in the field\, from large organisations to small and medium scale enterprises (SMEs). The Fair will provide a platform for both the local farming community\, as well as producers\, to inform and communicate to the general public about the industries’ products and services.
