| Student Placements for 2007 | 4 November 2006 | Due to the success of the training placements offered to a number of international students during 2005 and 2006, the AquaBioTech Group has agreed to continue accepting a limited number students for the year 2007.
Feedback from all the students in 2006 was very positive and whilst still considered highly demanding in terms of the tasks set and hours worked, the placements once again give the students a real taste of what it was like to work in a real business environment.
As we have had two past students how were not so happy with the nature of their placements, the AquaBioTech Group encourages applicant students to ensure that they have researched the sort of placement that we can offer and make a decision whether this is really going to be of long-term benefit in terms of experience attainment.
In 2006 the AquaBioTech Group received over 100 applications and selected just seven (7) students for placements throughout the entire year who they felt would benefit most from the experience. Training periods range from four to nine months and are funded from a variety of sources, but mostly by EU training funds.
